lyrics

Vs.1

Man we used to, boost powder and roll with the same people, break down the swisher and blow out the same reefer/ tip back the bottle till morning then repeat it, rock the same clothes and borrow each other’s Fila’s/ we, started doing dirt, got caught but they couldn’t change us, young without guidance, thought that we was dangerous/ we started telling everybody else that we was reli’s, even started to believe it, wasn’t nothing they could tell me/ remember we would stay up all night writing lyrics, with a pack of ports thinking everybody about to feel it/ even the girls we were with were best friends, looking back I’m like man we used to clown back then/ yeah we used to dream back then, not knowing the consequences of the things we did/ and I never thought things would go the way they went, but we was only teenagers, we had barely lived.

Hook

Yeah people come and go, and there’s a lot of things that change with the times I know/ and looking back we were blind to the way things were, we were living for the moment trying to mask the hurt/ but even though we tried to run, we always fell back into the same old stuff/ and in the end, we both had a choice to make, you stayed where we was at, and I chose to get away, ay.

Vs.2

And I was the first homie to visit you at the center, locked up over that girl you wouldn’t listen/ and once you got out, you went right back in, same girl, same results, I got hype right then/ and I was always on the move, you was always locked up, but we always stayed cool/ a letter here, a call there, sorry I missed our calls fam, life is getting harder, I wish that I could call back/ but I was slipping deeper in depression, I was selfish, so I’m sorry I wasn’t always there to help ya/ bro I’m going through some things myself, I’m 19 no job, on the road to hell/ man I need some help, I just failed school and money’s heading to jail/ I feel like everything around me is caving in, man I’m through living life like this, that’s it.
